Production method

Usually obtained by the ammoniation of γ-butyrolactone. Another method is maleic anhydride as raw material, hydrogenation; ammonia derived, the yield of up to 90% -92%. Purification method: Purification by vacuum distillation before use.

Application

For organic synthesis (such as 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone, etc.), but also used as a solvent. α-Pyrrolidone is an important chemical raw material, widely used in medicine, textiles, dyes, coatings, cosmetics and other industries, such as the manufacture of brain rehabilitation, nylon 4, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, artificial plasma and so on.
